It all started with one special dog…

Growing up as an only child for Gina was just as you would suspect, filled with lots of playdates and time spent with friends. Some of her fondest memories were getting to play with friends and their dogs, exploring the woods of Southern Maine together. After years of asking for a dog of her own, Gina’s parents surprised her with a Pug named Holly. Immediately, the two become best friends, and Holly became much like the sibling that Gina had never had! Countless hours were spent together digging in the sandbox, playing dress up, sledding through the snow, playing soccer, and exploring the woods. Holly and Gina were inseparable. Even with weeks apart while Gina was away at College, the bond was never broken. Holly was the best dog a girl could’ve asked for up until the very end. With only minimal cell phone photos to remember her by, the dog who had been there for every aspect of Gina’s childhood into adulthood was peacefully laid to rest just shy of 15 years old. She passed while curled up in Gina’s arms after a short but brave battle with Cancer.

Holly’s Legacy…

Time went on after Holly’s passing, but the heartache never fully faded. Years passed, and after life’s ups and downs, Gina endured one of the darkest times of her life. During this time she purchased her first camera, teaching herself photography off of Youtube. Lighting a spark within her, photography became her true passion, her outlet, and her escape. This spark then become a healing flame, and fueled on by Holly’s legacy, Gina started focusing solely on Pet Photography. From local rescues and shelters, to clients across the country, Gina poured her absolute heart and soul into each and every session. 3 years later, and nothing has changed. Clients can still expect the total dedication to her craft, and love for animals of all shapes and sizes. Gina’s aim during a session is to take images that can be curated into one of a kind pieces of customized artwork to be cherished for years to come. We all have that one ‘Holly’ dog or horse in our lives, with bonds that cannot be broken; and It is Gina’s honor to immortalize these bonds through her photography for each and everyone one of her cherished clients and their pets.

Dedicated to her craft and Holly’s legacy, Gina is proud to be the only pet-exclusive photographer in Maine who is multi-internationally award winning and published. With over 70 awards for her work since starting photographic competition in January 2021, Gina’s portraiture has become renowned and recognized throughout the animal and pet photography community worldwide.
