Wolfe’s neck state park session location - Dog Photographer in Portland, ME

I wanted to start off this blog post with some cold hard facts - living in the state of Maine is hands down one of the most gorgeous places you could be as a photographer! As a Maine-native who has had the pleasure of traveling throughout the country and some parts of the world, I can safely say there is nothing quite like Maine. Between the coastline, woodlands, mountains and lakes, you just can’t beat the beauty of this state. Combine that with horses and dogs, and you have the making of some pretty epic photos! Needless to say, I am so lucky to be a Dog Photographer in Maine!

One question I always ask my clients is ‘What is your vision for your images?’. Because Maine has so much to offer, and each pet and their pet parent’s preferences are a little different, it is vital to figure out what is the best location to fit our session together. I love being able to show potential clients behind the scenes images and location spots that we can use to create the best portraits possible of your pets, and hence, this blog series was born! Join me as I take you along to some of my very favorite locations throughout the state and show you the magic that we can create together!

Like most photographers, I sincerely dislike being in front of the camera, but I wanted you all to have the best possible insight into these locations. So all discomfort aside, I braved my fears and got into the hot seat in front of my very own camera just for you guys! First up for locations list is Wolfe’s Neck State Park. My all-time favorite location! Wooded areas? It’s got that. Awesome coast lines? Check that off the list too! There are just endless possibilities here and the photos turn out magical each and every time. Never been before and want to learn more? Here is the link to the state park’s website! Wolfe's State Park - Check it out here! Located in Freeport, Maine.

So without further ado, here is the little behind the scenes video for your guys on some examples of what we can create together at this location. Youtube unfortunately made the colors altered when uploading, so I will add in the actual photos below so that you can see how gorgeous they really are!
